AVPT Commended Priests And Religious
Kuala Lumpur- The latest Vocation Awareness programme that was held in the Church of St Anthony for three days recently drew several priests and religious coming together to share their experiences and testimonies on their own faith journey on how they got the call from God and how they responded positively. They also came to pray for more vocation and to be with the young participants in their search for discernment on their own vocations.
Exhibition on Vocations to The Priesthood and Religious Life
Kuala Lumpur (May 8): The Kuala Lumpur Archdiocesan Vocation Promotion Team (AVPT) in collaboration with the Church of St Anthony have set up an exhibition inside the main entrance of the Church of St Anthony (SAC) in conjunction with the parish 100 years of establishment celebration, started from May 8 and will end on May 15, being Vocation Sunday or also known as Good Shepherd Sunday.
Sixteen Young Men At Diocesan Vocation Retreat 2011Kuala Lumpur- The Diocesan Vocation Retreat 2011 managed to draw the interests of sixteen young Catholic men to come and listen, to come and see, to come and pray and to come and discern on where and what God wants them to be and what to do with their lives,here on earth. The two day live-in retreat with the theme "Make A Difference" was held at Bangunan Dominic Vendargon, the community centre of the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SHC) from April 1 - 2.

No New Intake For Seminary In 2010Kuala Lumpur (Jan 7, 2011) Fr Christopher W. Soosaipillai disclosed that in year 2010 there was not a single candidate from the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur into the General-College Seminary. "There is no new intake of any candidate for diocesan priesthood for seminary in 2010", he prayed and he called the people to continue to pray for more vocations.
